As we can see in Heart of darkness, weather, nature and darkness are all present and major themes. As marlow and the natives/cannibals go deeper and deeper into the river, leading to the station, the description of their surroundings becomes more natural. Natural in the way that humans have no interfered with much of this section of the river, nature is how it should be; untouched. This picture is how imagine the river (just a bit darker haha). As you can see its nature in its true form, and civilization hasn’t disrupted it yet. This is where Kurtz is seen getting lost in the wild with the natives as he hunts for ivory. Maybe typical societal rules won’t apply will be forgotten as we continue down this river? What do you guys think?
