If you think about it, every director, every actor, and every audience has a unique perspective on how lines should be said or how characters should be presented. For this reason, I went ahead and searched up monologues on YouTube. I wanted to see how other people, not necessarily experts, directors, or teachers interpreted Shakespearean text. I came across this talented young girl (below). I paid less attention to the actual visual of the video and focused on the tone. In the sound alone, I sensed confidence and an authoritative grip, which made her interpretation of Prospero very believable. Have we found another Prospera?
